Left and below an unusual $20 U.S. coin watch. Usually one
finds these with the coin hollowed out and small case
housing the movement inserted inside. This one has the
movement encased directly in the coin. Movement cal. 2003
by Audemars Piguet.
Pictured here unusual DeLaneau
"Three Time Zones" model in 18K
gold. The case weighs 88.0 grams !!
37 mm across by 56 mm long. Center
movement automatic ETA 2892A2.
Time in 2 additional time zones is
shown using quartz movements. Main center movement also shows month of the year on mother of pearl sub dial and
date pointed to by a red tipped hand. The 2 small dials showing times in other time zones also have mother of peral dials.
Spedcially made alligator band has metal made inserts with threaded holes. The band is held on each side with 4 gold
screws which screw into the band. The buckle is 18K gold as well. This watch is engineered very well and pictured do not
do it justice. One has to hold it in one's hands.
Above an interesting design by Gucci. Stainless steel assymetrical case with surface decorated with small cut squares. Model #
7100. Crocodile leather band and stainless steel deployant buckle.
Above Wakmann triple calendar 3 register
chronograph with Valjoux 730 movement.
Valjoux 730 was an improvement on Val. 72C
which was used in Rolex watches in 1950s
through 1970s. Val.730 beats at a higher rate.
Movement serviced in Nov. 2010.
