Below, American Waltham in 18size 14K beautiful solid gold hunter case.17 jewels full plate movement
dates to 1906. It is model 1883 grade 825.
Pictured above very large( 56.7 mm across ) August Piguet in 18K Hunter
case, 174 gr. total weight. The movement is lever set. Lever is spring
activated. Very interesting inscription dating to 1896 possibly from the
estate of well known R.H. Grant.
Pictured above Hamilton size 12 in solid 14K gold case. Front and back two covers are hinged. The case
weighs over 27.3 grams without the movement and crystal. The movement is of grade 914 with seventeen
jewels adjusted in 3 positions. An uncommon Hamilton 914 in such a nice 14K gold case !!     
Above Waltham 16 size in a 14K gold hunter case. Beautifully engraved. Enamel dial with a few small
hairlines between 10 and 12 o'clock. 15 jewel movement grade 1899 with 14K gold set jewels and 14K gold
center wheel. Serial 10937319. Ticking strong and keeping good time.
The dial is beautiful, no cracks
or chips. The lid opens strong
with the push of the crown.
Pictured below a very fine Swiss movement in an 18K gold case with black enamel.
The watch measures 37.5 mm across and weighs 52 grams. The single sunk porcelain
dial is beautiful with no hairlines. The setting lever is spring loaded. The cover springs
out strong. Two covers on the back. Inner cover signed Vve J Magnin & Guedin.
Case number 14784 GENEVE 1871. This watch is running strong with good time keeping.
Some describe this ovement as "neuchâteleuse" Le Locle style (Ebauche made of
Piguet Frères). The feature that identifies this movement as one from the Le Locle and
Le Chaux de Fonds area is the formation of circle of bridges around the balance wheel.
Zantke in his book on Louis Benjamin Audemars calls these Audemars movements. This
firm made a lot of rough movements, ebauches. They were in Le Brassus which is
South of Neuchatel. Le Brassus is a very small Village but is home to Audemars Piguet
and also had C H Meylan and Louis Benjamin Audemars
